Always worthy of a juicy bite, the Big Apple -- also known as New York, the City that Never Sleeps -- boasts Broadway shows, exceptional exhibitions and attractions, global cuisine, and unparalleled shopping. The expanded Jacob K. Javits Convention Center has a 1,500-room headquarters hotel. New York City's hotel room inventory exceeded 75,000 in 2008, and increases by around 2,000 new or renovated rooms per year, from modest to luxurious.

New York City is not just a destination for leisure travel. Quite a few travelers visit for business purposes. One of the city's most frequent visitors is the entertainment industry. Over 400,000 location shoots, including feature films and documentaries as well as television shows and commercials, are filmed in and around the city annually. In fact, over 250 feature films are shot in New York City each year. Some of these productions even include of New York City's grandest hotels in their story lines. The Plaza Hotel has been featured in Hollywood hits like Arthur, Almost Famous and Home Alone II and the Waldorf Astoria Hotel can be seen in Coming To America and Maid In Manhattan.
